CONTINENTAL

Our wheel/tire combination has received a special certification from Continental Tire, endorsing its capability to handle up to 7,400 pounds. This represents a remarkable 9% increase from the original rating and is an exclusive privilege solely offered by American Fleet Inc.

The MPT 81 tire model is a popular choice among customers seeking a balanced performance between on-road and off-road conditions. Its versatile nature shines through its quiet operation at higher speeds, impressive resistance to rolling, and exceptional performance on surfaces such as sand, snow, and rocky terrains.

However, in highly demanding muddy environments, it’s worth noting that the MPT 81 can face challenges in self-clearance. Despite this limitation, its comprehensive capabilities and Continental Tire certification make it a compelling option for various expedition scenarios.

Vehicle Applications

  • For Ford F450 and F550 models from 2017 and newer, the option to accommodate 335 or 365 tires is available. Meanwhile, the 2011 to 2016 models can solely accommodate a 335 tire, provided a 2 to 3 inch lift is applied.

  • Dodge 4500 and 5500 vehicles can house a 335 tire without necessitating a lift. However, opting for a 365 tire mandates a lift along with extended control arms. In both cases, considerable front fender modification is required.

  • Chevrolet/International C4500, C5500, and C6500 models can comfortably incorporate the 335 tire without requiring a lift. Should you desire a 365 tire, a 3-inch lift becomes essential. The integration of either super single application entails substantial front fender modification.

  • Our Single Rear Wheel (SRW) conversion doesn’t demand a lift kit, although its use is strongly recommended. The super single wheel and tire can be directly mounted onto Ford F450, F550, Dodge RAM 4500, 5500, and C4500, C5500, and C6500 models without any adapters.

*Please Note: Continental Tires obligates us to specify that the 33580 R 20 is rated for speeds up to 68 mph. This rating is applicable under 100% maximum pressure at 105 psi and 100% load, equaling 7,400 pounds per tire or 14,800 pounds solely on the rear axle. While this scenario is exceedingly rare and challenging to attain, if you happen to reach it, please adhere to a maximum speed of 68 mph. Up to the present point, we’ve successfully produced over 900 trucks, allowing you to drive at higher speeds on the freeway with lighter loads without any concerns.
